I was completely exhausted all day today, but 8th period pretty much turned everything around. There’s a kid who is, to put it lightly, a challenge. The other day his behavior was a lot better than normal, so the next day I left a post-it on his desk telling [...] Somehow I ended up promising my students I’d make cupcakes for Open House. I may spend the majority of my time in the kitchen figuring out how to pack lots of vegetables, whole grains, and legumes into a simple yet flavorful dinner, but I can’t pretend that packaged food never makes an appearance in our house. There’s just something about Oreos I [...] |
