I’m a little late to the party with this one, but with just 16 days to go until Christmas, the time to bake is NOW! Here are some of my favorite holiday treats:
Not only does it look impressive, it tastes AMAZING! It does take a little bit of time to put together but in my opinion, it’s totally worth it.
These are brownies topped with mint frosting and dark chocolate. My grandma’s maiden last name was Matteson, and all 5 of her kids (my mom and her siblings) are pretty much obsessed with them. We have to bake multiple batches of these every Christmas because they disappear FAST!
Lydia’s Austrian Raspberry Shortbread

My sister and my husband both LOVE these. They were always a huge pain to make until we realized that the frozen dough could be grated with a food processor instead of by hand. Grating the dough makes the texture unlike other shortbread, and the layer of jam in the middle is a sweet addition.

Probably the easiest fudge recipe EVER…Crushed candy canes make it perfect for Christmas!
These little sweet breads have become a Christmas morning tradition for us… they go perfectly with coffee and presents!
What are your holiday favorites? Please leave a link or recipe in your comment…I’m always looking for new Christmas baking ideas!

Our Christmas breakfasts always (at least for the past 25 years) include the bear claws described here . Mimosas are a nice (and semi-healthy) beverage accompaniment.
The HTML tags didn’t work out right, sorry, but the link is to the bear claw recipe.
